Alongside regularly conducting his own music, David has developed a reputation as a choral conductor with a great interest and enthusiasm for working with voices. He developed a prize-winning chamber choir during his time at Lady Margaret School. Since 1994, he has worked alongside Jonathan Willcocks, Ben Parry and Howard Ionascu with the at the Royal Academy of Music Junior Department with a wide range of choirs and choral groups.
David worked for 2 years as the music director of London Symphony Orchestra’s flagship community choir who perform regularly at LSO St Luke’s. He worked alongside Jazz legend Hugh Masekela and the LSO for a sell out concert at the Barbican celebrating Masekela’s birthday.
Since 2004, David has conducted a choir at HSBC bank at Canary Wharf. The choir meet once a week in term time and explore a wide range of repertoire from Victorian partings to newly-composed music. HSBC choir were the winners of the Fiscal Harmony Choir Competition which took place at Southwark Cathedral in June 2015.
